My buddy rails against those as a racket. Basically their business model is to hire attractive chicks, and have them randomly tell people that whatever they're trying on looks amazing on them. Profit. A chick I know works for Trunk Club (and is not surprisingly quite attractive).

My girlfriend and her cousin went through my wardrobe a while back and seriously got rid of about 80% of everything I had. It was a little painful and kind of expensive to get all the new stuff, but it was necessary.

I'm sorry you're not mature enough to realize when you need help with something.

I think the stylist idea is a good one. Sometimes you need some feedback and perspective from someone who has a better eye. Nothing wrong with that. One of the biggest things is how they fit. It doesn't matter how expensive it was or what's on the label if it doesn't fit you right.

I bought a bunch of Hawaiian shirts for my last vacation and pretty much wear those everywhere I go now.

Took me until about 2012 to realize cargo shorts were no longer in style

Maybe even hiring a personal stylist to go shopping with.

It's okay. Being gay is way more acceptable than it used to be.

Don't know what your style is, but check out Bonobos. If you like their stuff, their customer service is top notch. Once you get setup with sizes, reordering is simple.

I haven't redone all my stuff completely, but came real close about 6 months ago. I realized that I was wearing the same basic shite I wore in college. It was time for a refresh.

I know. Sucks. Hopefully they will own and leave it alone. They are trying to get into direct-to-consumer companies hence the Jet buy and potential Bonobos.

A good thing is there isn't a logo to associate with Walmart.

I did, about a year ago. Learned simplicity is easier. I'm not standing in my closet for 20 minutes figuring out what to wear

You mean like throw away all my old t-shirts and get new ones? Why would I do that? You have no idea how many trade shows I had to go to to collect all of those.
