Have you ever had to confront anyone over speeding through your neighborhood?

Long story short...there's a douche in a red Z71 that recently started seeing ( i guess...he is new) a girl (you don't want pics) that lives just down the street. When he goes anywhere, he gets a full head of steam in his truck and by the time he makes it two blocks down to my house, he is going 60-70. Speed limit is 25.
This is in a chill neighborhood in a small, south Louisiana town. My concern is mainly for the guy that lives across the street from me...he and his wife have 7 kids and they are always playing outside. I also have one child and a couple dogs, but they rarely are playing in the front yard. I haven't had a chance to talk to the neighbor yet to see if he has noticed. I really don't want blood on my hands should I not say or do something. FWIW there is no HOA to talk to about this.
Out of the options below, what would you do?
A.) Say/do nothing. No words or actions will convince this guy that he is in the wrong, as it is very apparent that this individual isn't smart enough to figure shite out even if you wrote it on his forehead. Let Darwin sort things out naturally.
B.) Call the police and ask them to patrol around the time he leaves every evening. They do a decent job of patrolling the neighborhood, but there's only so much they can see and do.
C.) Stealth mode...Let the air out of his tires and spray foam his tail pipe closed shut in the middle of the night. Act as though nothing ever happened.
D.) Knuckle Checks. This option could result in getting shot in 2025 America, but a good beat down has done a lot of idiots some good throughout the course of history.
I'm interested in hearing previous experiences, if any, on this from this board.

I would try to talk to them first. But someone like that is almost certainly going to be an arse about it.

Go have your boyfriend confront the person for you

A little speeding is fine. If someone's doing 70 in a residential area I'm definitely tipping off police what time he usually comes through. I'm not letting a kid get run over because Timmy Trashball was piping his girlfriend and is late for his plant job

Either walk down there and talk to the guy, or call the cops and report his plate. I’m not sure if you would be prevented from putting in speed bumps or not, I know my dad and neighbors tried talking to the county about it growing up due to similar situation.

FWIW - I remember my dad humming a basketball into the side of a car speeding down our street while my brothers and I were playing in the yard as a kid. Never saw that guy speed down the street again.

Just pour a couple of bags on concrete across the road as a homemade speed bump. Shouldn’t take more than a couple hours

Get one of those ‘Kids at play’ stands and put it in the middle of the road. It’ll force time to slow down and go around it.
If you have an HOA, you can ask for speed bumps at the next meeting and be willing to coordinate the effort.
You can inform the local sheriff and ask for a radar cop to be planted at a desired time.

I had a friend who owned a trailer park...guy was speeding through it and he waited upon his exit and lobbed a brick into speeder's windshield. Message recieved I guess.

My son had his 7th birthday party at our house and there were about 20 little kids running around playing in the yard and street. And a bunch of neighbors. This bitch in a minivan speeds up as she approaches the party. The parents all start yelling at her. I had a yellow ducky in my hand, I forget why, so I threw it at her as she zoomed by and hit her passenger side window. Dumb count actually calls the police. Cop comes out, talks to her, and leaves. Cop knew she was nuts, I assume.

Yeah, couple of us were working on the front entrance to our subdivision one day, and a young kid comes flying through , driving fast and aggressive, we hop in our truck and follow him home, his dad is in the driveway, we hop out and ask if we can help? his dad gives us the WTF look and we say, man I saw this black SUV flying through the neighborhood, speeding not stopping at the stop signs, so we figured there must be an emergency and came to help... the father gave the son evil eyes, apologized to us and said he would take care of it, no more problems

Option E. Piss balloons to the windshield as he's speed past.

What about leaving a note “please slow down in this neighborhood” or something on his windshield?
Sounds kinda puss at first but at least it would clearly let him know it’s a problem without being directly confrontation.

Go frick the girl and leave pictures on his red z71 dash. that should fix him coming to the neighborhood in the future.

I live on a dead end and have talked to a few people over the years about their speed. Most of the time it has been construction workers/ service types or guests of friends that live past me. Most have understood my point and been fairly apologetic etc. There have been a few over the years that it took a little more aggressive conversation before they got the point and there was one guy I threw a half brick through the side window of his car. I was out front talking to some Brick masons working on a walkway and columns at front of my house, the guy flew by going past, I waved for him to slow down. He realized he was on a dead end and started back up the street even faster. I stepped over to their cut pile, grabbed a brick and put it right through the rear side window. That brought him to a complete stop on the street.

Mine too

We were playing some basketball and he saw a car flying down the road maybe 6 houses away. He launched a basketball at the car and smoked the frick out of it
