Like in the olden days where an emergency meeting would be required and everyone runs to city center to deliberate.

Yeah, my favorite part of work. Havent had a good one in a decade or so.

I love a crisis.

You know, like a "shoot fire and save matches" or a "kill the monkey to save the chicken" kind of meeting. Standard business lexicon.

You need to circle the wagons on your understanding of the meaning of the phrase "circle the wagons"

No but Oldmanbeasley has been the reason for one of these bull shite meetings. People have no sense of humor.

Primarily operations. Landside.

When a ship hits a rock with hundreds onboard and is sinking, it can be quite the adrenaline rush.

Agreed. Circle the wagons means hunker down, protect yourself from attack, just try to survive in an emergency situation.

I'm curious if athletic directors call these meetings when hiring a coach or are they lame and just do calls and zooms now?

There won't be a lot of people at a meeting where serious issues are decided.

If it's a "get ready for layoffs or pay cuts" meeting the outcome was decided in that smaller meeting.

I have, but no one does it like the Buffalo Bills.
