I used a vacation house mail box to order smut via catalog. Nothing like waiting months for your porn to be delivered and sneaking in the darkness to retrieve it.

Thank you Mr McAllister. He did wind up catching me... I would assume he put forth the effort of hunting me to prove to his wife the mailbox stuffed with smut wasn't his. Old baw hit me with a camera flash in the darkness. I just ran away like a little bitch.

I don't know. A man does what he has to do sometimes?

some older kids had a "clubhouse" in deep in the woods behind our neighborhood. if you knew where to find it, you'd have your choice of 100s of mags.

This was my childhood as well.

I too once had a stash at my camping hangout in the woods. I was not knowledgeable of preservation practices though. Sorry Vanna.

I'm confused on why they had to go out into woods. Were there more homeless people than I remember or would guys have to go out in the middle of nowhere to get enough privacy to take care of themselves?

I think the woods porn was other kids hiding them or women throwing them out. My whole stash of porn and stolen smokes got confiscated by my mom. I guess she didn't want them in our trash because a few days later I found them all in the woods lol

wives/moms did not work and they cleaned your room/the house so it was harder to hide it from them.

The guys in our neighborhood had a bro code- if one mom caught you with it you said it was another guys and brought it to them. Apparently the moms did not discuss it and catch on and the porn circle continued

Finders keepers.

We didn't find dirty magazines, we found a dude living in the middle of the woods in a trailer that was falling down around him, and he let us look at his dirty magazines.

Me and my buddy were like 11 or 12, we would explore the NF that we lived around, stumbled up this old arse trailer with no road to it, only to find some homeless looking dude that took us in and showed us all his Hustler magazines. He also had lots of cats around.

Only when I was older did I realize that we were hanging out in a meth lab

Ah the early 90s childhood

Found a box of them in a field, not far from a bomb/storm cellar.

My mom told me I could keep them when she found them if I kept them from my little bro.

During the Atlanta Child Murders case in the 70s with Wayne Williams, the detectives found a stack of mags near one of the bodies. Of course they get the genetic material from the stuck pages, and track down the dude. Not the killer, just some rando who was rubbing it out on his lunch break. He had to come clean about it all when he was named as a suspect.

Came up on a scene from a horror movie hunting in north Mississippi.

An old beat up recliner wayyy out in the woods surrounded by faded and torn up vintage porno mags, used up Vaseline jars, and beer cans. The definition of 'somebody has cooked here'.

women throwing them out

Women and men. This was back in the day when most people lined their home trash cans with brown paper shopping bags and those got put in a silver metal garbage can. The trash folks would dump the contents into the garbage truck and the contents were largely visible to the trash collectors.

People didn’t want the trash collectors to know the homeowners read dirty magazines so the most logical thing to do was to dump the magazines in a remote spot. The subdivision I grew up in had some wooded empty lots between homes so that would be a convenient dumping ground.

Was there some sort of bro code in the 70-90's that you didn't throw away your magazines, you just passed them along to the younger generation like a fricked up easter egg hunt?
