I remember the neighborhood that you said you grew up in only because my best friend grew up there. Most of them have big lots so you could definitely have a garden.

Yep. My parents are the very last house in the cul de sac on Pheasantwood (2nd entrance). The house that faces you with the big tin roof. They have several acres. Backyard is huge and on the canal.

They have never had fences or leashes for the dogs. Even my little city girl doesn't leave when she stays with them. She's in heaven sniffing her way through.

That's Pheasantwood! Your best friend must be someone I know.

My parents live on the other side of the canal from him. We used to swim in that disgusting ditch - God help my soul. He died a couple years ago. I have a Buddha at my koi pond that came from his house. We were terrified of him as kids, but turns out he was just misunderstood.

If I wear a mask, I’m going full on respirator. Hopefully it’ll make other people uncomfortable.

You'd be surprised at how crazy people look at you when you wear a mask in public.

You feel fricking retarded.

Then, you think about the other 250 dumb fricks at the supermarket wondering if they killed Grandma Louis 20 years down the road.

I just want to feel like I've done it all, bc I don't want to wonder down the road.

Do you?

Sorry to hear he's gone. He had to have lived a pretty long life though. He wasn't young when I was 10-12 yrs old.

My buddy lived on the main street where the neighborhood entrance sign was but all the way at the end.

I think you might be a lot younger than us though. He and I are both 42 now. We had a lot of fun in that neighborhood. It was a great place to be a kid in the 80s-early 90s. As was Tanglewood and Morgan Place which was where I grew up.

Yeah, I'll be 30 in October. My house wasn't even there yet in your time My parents built it in 1998.

We are currently watching monster trucks on TV so I feel like I should also give props to my country arse upbringing. I got my first dirt bike when I was. 8. A Yamaha PW 80. Went from there to a Honda 125.

Got a 4-Wheeler when I was ~12 and flipped it over on top of myself and my brother on day 1 and cracked my ribs

Went to motocross so many times I can't count.

None of this is significant but so unusual for people like my SO who is from New Orleans and never been around any of the above

Nope. The wife had about ten of the N95 ones stashed in the bug-out bag.

I've grown nearly a month long beard now and realize that it's 75% grey and white. I thought I was 50/50.

I wish I could grow a beard like that guy.

I work in a reasonably formal setting where I don't have to shave regularly but the Moses beard would definitely raise some eyebrows.

Potentially I suppose. The whole Alton Sterling thing made me think we were close to a pretty decent meltdown. Luckily it wasn't the case.

Hurricanes suck but I'd rather deal with them over prevalent tornados. At least we know they are coming for a week.

I noticed that I had missed an e, but I just don't like editing posts for some reason.

They just don't feel the same.
