I went down that rabbit hole one morning about 2 or 3 months ago on Youtube. Looking forward to this episode of American Greed.

I lost it when they showed the Tahoe lease agreement though

Speaking of, I think it’s a good thing that the idea of “American Exceptionalism” is dead because I really believe it has made us complacent.

This here is the level of grift and malfeasance that banana republics are built on. Many refuse to believe that this country could be that, but this is proof that we certainly can. This isn’t just stuff that happens “somewhere else”. Humans are humans and garbage humans are everywhere.

As a southerner I expect some level of grift and corruption from my politicians. I think 3/4 Alabama governors in my lifetime did fed time. Every Birmingham mayor before the current was was corrupt as hell. But it was acceptable corruption. A cousin gets all the vending contracts for city events. Jr gets out of a couple of DUIs. Free suits and four wheelers and new Cadillac.

But this is just so audacious as to be comical.

She may rank as one of the most corrupt to ever be mayor and blatantly flaunt it out in the open. She really thinks she’s that smart. But fortunately, she is an idiot and will hopefully be in jail soon wearing uuuurange jumpsuits

Remember to capitalize her race.

And they wanted it. They advocated for it. They voted for it. They got it.

Why do leftists always cry when they get what they want?

We will have problems with whatever we go with. What we can do now is try to get better information to people. Too many of us vote based on sex, race, or who's face we've seen on more signs

Sure, but what we currently have is a system where the concept of voting carries no value.

You get it at 18 and it requires no sacrifice to obtain.

Yea, that has proven to be a failure proposition.

It is impossible to offer more access to information or knowledge than what already exists in the palm of your hand.

And the increased access to knowledge has changed that in what way?

I contend it has made it worse.

They have to want to access that information. That aside, the information isn't accurate and is tailored a certain way (sound bites). The long form conversation is what everyone needs to be exposed to

And, again, “giving more access to information” in a society that exists solely for sound bites is a failing proposition.

An impossible task.
