Fitness guru Jack LaLane took every vitamin from A to Z. Lived to be 94 and worked-out the day of his death. He died from pneumonia, thinking it was only a cold.

I literally had to look up for a gaucho check.

yeah, let's just keep doing what we've been doing. obesity rates, diabetes and heart disease rates, and life expectancy numbers are doing great.
keep stuffing your mouth with pesticide riddled fruits and "veggies," and seed oils, and I'll do my thing. you don't need fruits and vegetables. there's no such thing as a vegan aboriginal people, and there's a reason vegans have to load up on supplements while they fart their bloated guts away all day: we can't sustain ourselves on fruits, vegetables and nuts, and we were never supposed to.

I take "Alive" vitamins that are made from whole foods. I can tell a difference in how I feel. Just feel healthier when I've taken them every day. When I run out or forget them when I travel for a while, I can tell I don't feel as energetic.

Not having enough of certain vitamins and minerals definitely causes issues. I’ve seen people nearly lose the ability to walk from B12, thiamine, and copper deficiency. I think the real question is whether high levels of nutrients helps.

I only take methylated vitamins. That way the body can absorb them in a useful form and not have to break them down, if it can.
The body can't use all of the regular vitamins and ends up not being synthesized and is flushed out.
Taking regular vitamins is like putting crude oil in your vehicle. The gasoline is in there, it's just not refined. Methylated vitamins is the high octane gasoline.
10X Multivitamin
I'm intrigued. But why is shipping $20 on a bottle of pills?

Are you saying that doctors are pointing out deficiencies because they are too conservative?
Or that they are not pointing out all of the concerns because they are too conservative.
Your point wasn't clear enough for me.
I don't understand what "is not the doctor's fault"
usually, they ask how you feel, if you say good, they don't point out any deficiencies especially a GP

I take Magnesium and Ashwaganda daily. I put a lot of stuff in my Smoothies that are recommended (about 4x/week).
Creatine in winter months, THC in moderation year-round.
Mid-40s and never had a need for prescriptions of any kind. Hopefully that can continue but open to adding if absolutely necessary.
I’ve probably tried some supplements in past that had no benefit.

I read somewhere that more people die from too much water than dehydration every year.
The water drinking crap is a myth. Someone just made up 8 cups of water a day! And it was really catchy.
Similarly, Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Again, no science to back that up and most breakfast is terrible for you and full of sugar/carbs.

to some extent yes
when you take vitamins and supplements, your body stops making its own vitamins and supplements, so for occasional use, it helps, but for regular use it hurts your body since your body creates a better supply than vitamins and supplements can.

Most of them are snake oil. A few are good for you. Fish oils are for sure snake oil. I take the only FDA approved oil supplement, VASCEPA that works. Just drink a lot of water and eat decent and you'll be fine. Can't fight genetics.

And to answer the OP, no they aren't bullshite, but generally speaking the majority of them aren't needed if you have a fairly decent diet. All you're going to be doing is building up excess storage of some that could have its own issues, or you are just paying for really expensive pee.
Some people have issues with certain things, so they may need to take certain ones to help supplement a diet or an absorption issue their body has. We know what the essential vitamins are. They aren't bullshite.
The bullshite is the idea that you aren't already getting enough of what you need from a normal diet. Probably 80-90% of the time if not more, you are.

Only real vitamins obtained through foods are good for you.
Yeah, and big pharma agrees with her. They say buy/consume these prescription medications and MRNA vaccines instead. Just don’t read the long list of side affects in the package.

Cycling on and off of any supplement is usually best.

I've been taking Vitamin D, Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin C, since Covid. I've never had Covid and , haven't had a Cold since I started taking the vitamins.
I'm 81 years old.
However, when My youngest Son was about two years old he was diagnosed, "anemic". We spent several months giving him the prescribed iron supplements, to try and raise his iron level. No change. Finally I stopped the supplements and fed him chicken livers and Spinach for about six weeks. Liver and Spinach are high iron foods. I took him back for a check up and the Pediatrician said, his iron is up so the supplement must be working. I told her, no I quit giving him the supplement and changed his diet.

I think there is a lot of supporting evidence for a carnivore diet. Just do your meat and forget the rest…

It has been very eye opening how much fiber is a scam after going more carnivore.
