I bought some after listening to Joe Rogan. One thing i can say is that after taking regular B vitamins, i pee highlighter yellow, meaning there go the vitamins. Doesn’t happen after methylated ones, so maybe they are actually staying in.

I take Liquid D3 & Methyl B12 because both were low on my last set of labs. My endocrinologist recommended them, oh, and along with them I take Iron, Ferrous Sulfate, to help my Iron-Deficiency Anemia.

a true carnivore diet with ruminant meat and eggs, water and high quality salt, will give you all the nutrients you need. you don't have to have fruits or vegetables.

there are a very few exceptions, but the carnivore diet meets all nutritional needs.

the saddest narrative- even worse than covid- is the one being pushed that ruminant meat, eggs, real butter, and animal fats are bad for you, and that lettuce, vegetables, seeds (nuts), fibrous and high carbohydrate/ sugary foods and seed oils are the "healthy" diet. (it's one that has been, and currently is being thoroughly debunked. never mind the fact that life expectancy is now going down since we've gotten away from the diet we humans have eaten for thousands of years.)

the food pyramid is a propagandized, politically and profit-based pyramid of bullshite.

I like creatine and caffeine only because I see and feel a difference.

Vitamins are critical but getting them through your diet helps a lot.
The actual vitamin supplements can be hit or miss. Depends on the quality as to how much your body will absorb.
Some people are naturally low on certain vitamins and in those cases supplements are very beneficial.

Only real vitamins obtained through foods are good for you.

The problem is foods don't have the vitamins and minerals they used to. Corporate Farming has largely removed them from our plants, animals and soils.

Also, many vegetables do not have bioavailable vitamins and nutrients because of antinutriants. Plants have evolved in ways so that they will not be eaten.

Take a multivitamin. If your body doesn’t need it, it’ll piss it out. Don’t overthink it

Outside of home remedies (loading up on vitamin c and d when you are sick), I don't see why anyone would supplement without the recommendation of a medical professional.

because most medical professionals are conservative as frick due to the nature of people suing over every little thing so most of the time they wont say anything.

if you have an iq over 110 you should be able to read and interrupt your own blood work.

and its not doctors fault...they have to be very careful about what they say as anything they say, can and will be used against them in law suits. so they dont even really get to try and get people to optimal, just good enough to keep them alive.

My IQ is under 110.

Are you saying that doctors are pointing out deficiencies because they are too conservative?

Or that they are not pointing out all of the concerns because they are too conservative.

Your point wasn't clear enough for me.

I don't understand what "is not the doctor's fault"

I take a lot of supplements/vitamins for various reasons. I think most work, and I know some do because of lab testing and cause and effect.

I’m not sure. My GP said a multi vitamin is essential other than that you’ll just have expensive urine.
I take amino acids

what's crazy is the cravings for high carb, sugary foods. once they're gone, the way ruminant meat satiates is something that can only be experienced, not explained.

I love cabbage, onions, squash, homegrown tomatoes, etc., and during the summer when I can have homegrown, I'll eat it, but there's nothing to be gained from grocery store fruits and vegetables that carnivore can't take care of, aside from the gmo produce that's caked with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and salmonella.

people who eat tons of bagged, shredded lettuce are playing with fire, and shitting out the rest of it.

I’m not sure what the science agrees on. It’s all over the place.

I can say that taking a magnesium supplement has had a tremendous impact on my sleep quality. Maybe it’s anecdotal, n=1, and placebo, but it works.

I also take 4000iu of vitamin D and a zinc supplement. I’ve thought about adding a multivitamin, but I eat a nutritious diet daily so I don’t know if it’s necessary. I’m also exploring starting a stack for age-related hair loss. Apparently enough extra biotin can help regenerate hair, but it’s an absurd amount that can cause other issues.

So in my experience, they have an effect. Just make sure you source high quality supplements.
