We lost Lola in August. Ruffas got a cancerous infection in his paw about the same time. It’s now ravaged his lower leg and tomorrow’s going to be his last day. He’s 11 1/2 so treatment or amputation would be prolonging his life for our selfishness. He’s been a great boy and I’m going to miss him terribly. Love your dogs. Hug them and indulge them. The end comes up way too fast. I’m broken up. He was my boy.

Love you Ru.

Sorry buddy. Mine are getting up in age. Think about how hard it's gonna be.

Remember the good times.

Here's to Ruffas!

Losing them is a gut punch. Good for you for taking care of him responsibly to the very end.

We put our 12 year old lab down back in August after they found cancer in his spleen. Never easy to say goodbye to a good buddy. Remember the 11 years you had him rather than dwell on the decision to let him go.

Thanks all. I hear you. So many good times and one really, really bad day. It’s going to take me a while. Losing two in less than three months is so hard.

My 6month Brittany Spaniel is my buddy. She is smart as a wipe, super kind and I don't go any where but work without her.

I fear the day. Can't imagine what it will feel like 10yrs from now. The memories they leave you with though are awesome.

This little bitch has my heart.

Why not amputate? I have a 3 legged dog that gets a round fine.
