Annh. We're past the golden age of Super Bowl commercials. They are all trying too hard now IMO.

That coke commercial was awful.
Better than your joke, though.

Doritos and seinfeld were the only good one i saw. Too many car commercials. The rest were either just bad, awkward or not funny at all.

Too much sappy crap. I blame the hippies.

ETA I did like the coming home Budweiser for a serious one.
that one was terrible. congrats, you wasted a shite ton of money to celebrate ONE person coming back. what about the rest? what about the guys coming back with one arm or one leg?
it screamed of a "pat ourselves on the back cause we were nice to a veteran" move instead of doing something good.

I don't get this whole "jumping the shark" thing. There was an episode of Happy Days where one of the guys jumped an actual shark, and it was like the BEST one!
lol, I had no idea that TV show was the place where the term came from.
quote:
Jumping the shark is an idiom created by Jon Hein that was used to describe the moment in the evolution of a television show when it begins a decline in quality, which is usually a particular scene, episode, or aspect of a show in which the writers use some type of "gimmick" in an attempt to keep viewers' interest. Its name is taken from a scene from a fifth season episode of the sit-com Happy Days when the character Fonzie jumps over a shark while on water-skis. [1][2][3]
The usage of "jump the shark" has subsequently broadened beyond television, indicating the moment when a brand, design, or creative effort's evolution declines.

Did I miss something with the Bud Light "whatever" thing? They usually have a ton of commercials and I only remember 1 which talked about their bottle.

The 80's called. How can anyone not find that funny?
Lame tired joke, from the 80's ("the 70's called and it wants it's shirt back")
California Rasins, Dee Snyder, CHiPs, Hulk Hogan, Alf, Mr. T in the deLorean. Greatness.
The internet meme one was good, with the live action memes, I thought some here would mention that one.
The Doritos time machine was funny.
There were a couple of good ones. I don't know which one defined the Sb yet, like Betty White did for the Saint's SB.
