Do I try to engage in conversation till then or just let it sit and hold off? Met her last Saturday. Hung out couple hours. Exchanged numbers. Only conversation since then has been setting up the Friday date

Don't seek out conversation, but don't ghost her if she initiates. Make sure you don't tell her too much, though, or else you'll run out of things to talk about on the date.
