My dad is a retired Shreveport firefighter. I looked up to him so much as a kid and still do. When dad was on the truck he drank heavily on his days off. Was weird seeing a strong man unable to speak and barely walk to bed, mom would cuss at him. He was a nice drunk though
, funny at first and then would vegetate listening to the radio. When he went to administration he quit drinking. Still close to him and talk a few times a week, live 3 hours away but see him often
