You just need to show up to the office with a resume in hand and a firm handshake. You'll have a corner office in no time at all.

Im Gen X but i dont blame the younger gens for being pissed that most jobs ask for years of experience for entry level jobs, most of which only pay peanuts.. “pay your dues !”, only to then get older and replaced by- a younger person willing to work for peanuts…. it’s the corporatization of America, and it’ll only get worse .

This country isn't going to survive once the 50s+ age out. China is going to take over by 2050.

Our system is rigged against Gen Z and somewhat against Millennials - and it's not at all kind to any other generation - the school loans, crappy economy, rising housing costs. They've done the math and most of them see that the American dream is a fantasy. I don't like a lot of the trends we see, but I can't blame them for not wanting to go into the office. For most of them, the entirety of their jobs revolve around work on a computer - their generation grew up with the internet - in their eyes they don't see why they should leave the internet and laptop they have at home to go to the internet and desktop at work.

The other day I rode the bus for the first time in many years. Me and everyone else on the bus that was roughly Gen X or Millennial, pretty much didn't have a phone out. Everyone younger, like high school / college age, had their phones out and did nothing but stare at the phone for the entire ride. It's an addiction, and it won't end until we give them something better, outside the phone, to pay attention to.

DNA hasn't changed. It's the same in Gen Z as those that fought WWI and WWII, etc. If we give them a country to believe in, things will change.

This is more Lyndon Johnson’s fault than your employees. What incentive do they really. Have to work hard these days? This is the great society.

I'm Gen X. Why should anyone give a notice before they quit? Its "employment at will." The employer isn't going to give a notice if they fire someone. Nobody owes these companies shite. Respect isn't given and it isn't returned.

Work ethic comes innately before motivation.

In other words, they're innately lazy.

Teachers should be fired for wearing sweatpants. Isn't there a dress code?

That's a fact.
It's surreal watching the fall of an empire.

I hate generalizations like this. I'm working a main job, two side gigs, and run 6+ miles a day...would hardly describe myself as "lazy."

Never.
The latest generation is always the laziest, worst, most predictably underachieving.

It's been that way since the Pharaohs ruled Egypt
