Has there ever been a lazier generation than the latest generation of "workers" ?

The Covid Lockdowns have been over for years now, and companies still can't get them to come back to the office.
They act as if it is the simple act of actually showing up for work is cruel & unusual punishment.
Companies should tell them to show up by a given date or they are fired, period.

This is the softest generation ever.
They have no concept of actually buckling down and really getting after it,
They're always looking for a handout, for others to pay off their student loans, to give them free healthcare, to give them jobs they aren't qualified for etc.
And yet they are too lazy to simply show up at the office, let alone do any work while they are there.

Last and future generations are gonna be pussys!

Social media has ruined life as we know it! I do believe that social media is slowly running its course and will be gone soon or atleast not be as popular as previous years.

Things have definitely changed. I'm not sure who to blame. The kids or the indoctrinators in media,TV and school system? Then all of the jobs are being sent overseas and the jobs left over are being given to migrants. I'd lose my incentive also.

OP probably the guy that roams around the office taking to everyone talking politics. You have to fake taking a call to get them to get the hint to leave

Jobs are going overseas. Mexicans are taking the remaining jobs, or they are filled by affirmative action quotas, or nepotism/cronyism. Then, there is no labor union to represent you in the workforce like the boomer's parents had in most of the country. You will probably have no retirement, and the working conditions are guaranteed to get shitter. Things don't look good for gen Z. I wouldn't have motivation either.

8 pages minimum

But the worst is job hunting is freaking terrible

Every time I put i’m a straight white male I assume it’s getting shot into the garbage by some Wellesley grad HR 22 year old with a bull ring tattoo

And then some places ask not only if you’re trans or lgtbqia2s but if you’re an ally of lgtbqia2s

My dad always ask if I’m gonna get a job soon but it’s jot 1984 anymore.. it doesn’t really work that way.. all the demographics and DEi nonsense is a strike against me

Man shut up. You don’t even work with anyone that acts like that. You have no clue what an actual millennial or GenZ is like in real life.

What I have noticed is a lack of professionalism. I have seen employees quit with no notice and go on social media complaining about the job. Some have no idea how to dress appropriately for work. Sweatpants are not appropriate attire for teachers unless they teach PE.

I am so glad I work in a profession, at least my small corner of it, where this is far from the case. The associates in my firm are taking mental PEDs just to keep up and hopefully outdo their colleagues. One thing that is different from some other professions is they don't see a dead-end path and there is a brass ring that is attainable but they know the only way to attain it is by busting their arse or being a unicorn.

It's hard to work with a phone in one hand.
