Who are you referring to? Customer service? The technician that first came to your premise that may have a month of service or the tech that is experienced? There’s different levels and I understand the frustration of not have service but you have to understand you are not the only person that has service with AT&T in your area. Depending on where you live there may be 1 or 2 techs that work that area or hell there could be 10 in a major metro area and they are worked like fricking dogs. You prob have an attitude with the tech before they get out the truck and yes they probably don’t feel like dealing with your bitch arse.

Agreed. I've told multiple issues I've had with that piece of shite company on here. The worst of which was being accused of being a thief.

Can’t say too much but yes I work with them at a high level and have for years. In a nutshell

They bought DIRECTV and ran a great company into the ground, realized it 4 years later and have sold it to an investment firm. This is a good thing for DIRECTV and all their former employees are thrilled to get away from AT&T

They also purchased Time Warner Media two years ago and now have more debt than any publicly traded company. Remember, they now own HBO Max, Warner Brothers, DC Comics, CNN, etc.

They are now in save money mode due to their bad decisions and the customer is paying. CEO retired last year and they will probably start offloading more assets after the DIRECTV deal closes in the next week

It will be a different company in the coming years. For good or bad is yet to be determined

Their app can’t even tell me what my fricking bill will be. It is a complete piece of shite that doesn’t load. Absolute garbage for a tech company.

Cingular has sucked since inception, just because they sucked when they changed their name to AT&T and still suck today. This isn't covid related.

I’ve told the long detailed version story of this before. it took me countless hours of time and almost an entire year of my life to convince AT&T that I no longer lived in Houston and shouldn’t be being billed for their services. At one point I had to deal with a collection agency and send in current New Orleans bills.

If you are thinking about using them for U-verse cable or internet please spend your money elsewhere. frick AT&T

Somehow they managed to completely dicker the chat function that kept you from having to speak to someone who can't speak English, too.

Man, I used to have AT&T everything - cell service, internet, AT&T tv, etc.

A few years ago I ditched the cell service and went to Boost mobile for a flat $40 a month when AT&T was trying to charge me $100-plus a month and I had been with them for 10 years. I dropped AT&T for everything else I had and haven't looked back.

They charge out the arse compared to similar services and also have shitty customer service to boot. I have NO IDEA why anyone would choose to stick with them for literally anything.

They're not the best at anything, are more expensive than anyone else, and have by far the worst customer service and loyalty to their customer base. Leave everything AT&T behind and thank me later

Yes there are major issues with upper management at AT&T. Unfortunately the techs and lower level management are pressed on things that the average customer could give a f about. They mostly want to do their jobs and give good service to the customer but are handcuffed by the higher ups. Just recently left the company and have been frustrated with the lazy being rewarded because their numbers look good on a spread sheet. I could keep going on and will monitor this thread but I’m out of there and happy about being gone. Miss the guys and gals I worked with but not the bull shite.
I used to work for a global behemoth like ATT and there were layers and layers of people/mgt and rarely did anybody actually work. We laid off thousand and it didn't seem that anybody that did real work job changed. Apparently, all that group did was fill out TPS reports.

If you really do work for them at a "high level" see if you can get the money they fricked me out of for the "free phone" I supposedly got as a BOGO. The one, along with the other, the cocksuckers accused me of stealing when it was their own useless fricking sales rep who incompetently sold me phones that were, in reality, not on the BOGO. Then, see to it every one of the motherfrickers who said, "I will take care of it." but didn't winds up living in a box and having to jerk off heroin addicts just to keep from starving to death.

Do that for me and I'll love ya forever!

My father passed away in April. From then until now I made five copies of his death certificate and sent to them. Spoke on the phone to no less than 15 people just trying to get his phone canceled and the account switched into my mothers name. They had cell, Direct TV and internet. Finally last week we said f’em we canceled all services and moved her to Verizon.

Speaking from experience with the exact same issue, it is much easier to leave the service in a dead man's name than to try to get those motherfrickers to actually do anything.

There's more AT&T coverage where I live so I go with them over Verizon and C Spire. C Spire just isn't on the same level as Verizon and AT&T.

fiber service
These motherfrickers sold me on fiber and told me that I would have all the same functionality of my current plan with the cable company I was using.

Since signing the contract, I have no voicemail and no call forwarding. As a small business, these were essential. Six months later, I have neither. The bitch (salesperson) told me to get an answering machine. What fricking year is it?

Six months to go on the contract before I can go (or threaten) back to cable.

You prob have an attitude with the tech before they get out the truck and yes they probably don’t feel like dealing with your bitch arse.

Alright here's the story:

I was having trouble with my TV pixelating, freezing, and then the router completely shutting down and rebooting.

First time I called they sent a guy out three days later. He spent, and I shite you not, six hours and never came in the house. He left, but the issue remained.

Between the first and the second time I called, I noticed that the problem only happened when the wind would blow. I saw about 12ft of cable on a pole flapping in the breeze. When it would do that, the tv did the same thing and the whole system shut down. Sometimes, it wouldn't come back until the wind stopped blowing.

The second time I called I told them what the issue was and what I believed the problem to be. Four days later, the tech showed up and actually came I the house and spoke to me. I told him, and showed him, what I believed the problem to be. He spent, and I shite you not, another four hours. He knocked on the door, had me check to see if it was working (the wind wasn't blowing, mind you, so it did) and left.

Of course, the same fricking thing happened again.

Third time I called and told them the problem and what I believed it to be. Three days later, a tech showed up....I think. Again, they didn't knock on the door and spent two hours at the end of my driveway and/or at the main terminal. I got call after he left asking if my issue was resolved. I told them I didn't know because the wind wasn't blowing and I hadn't even talked to the guy.

Of course, the wind blew and the problem happened again. I trotted my arse down to the pole, and used cable clips to fasten the fricking cable to the pole as high as I could reach. That actually fixed the issue....for a little while. The other six or 7 foot of cable was still flapping, but at least it wasn't shorting out the junction box at the bottom of the pole. I knew, though, it was only a short term fix.

Of course, a few months later....yep....same fricking problem.

I called the fourth time and told what I believed the problem to be. The tech came out and spent another two hours, swapped our modem, and said he did something at the terminal. Again, the wind wasn't blowing and be didn't seem too concerned about the fricking cable flapping.

Of course, the wind blew and the whole system took a shite again.

Not a fifth time I said....no fricking way.

I borrowed my neighbor's cherry picker man lift. I went up the fricking pole and secured the wire with clips. I shored up the pigtail splice that was the obvious problem. It took me all of 30 minutes to do, and I haven't had that problem since.

Four techs of varying degrees of experience who in reality were varying degrees of fricking useless.

Don't defend your shitass company. Own the useless pile of shite that it is because no one....and I mean no fricking one, likes to deal with your bitch arse.

And that is just one of numerous issues I have with that God-forsaken, pile of shite you call a company.
