We used to go to church on Sunday.
Football is the most popular sport n large part because of hoe it lends itself to gambling , which has lead to a further decay of the family.
at major state university's an education is second to the athletic program
hero's used to be those that upheld traditional values. We now glorify violence, thuggery and obnoxious consumerism.

Um, no. Not only that but frick no. Sports fans are actually a pretty small part of society. At every office I've ever been in, there's been no more than 3 active sports fans per office: I talk with people who graduated from school outside the south and they give me a dirty look when I tell them I go to college games.

It is amazing how many low level blue collar workers spend 40%+ of their income on season tickets and complain about being poor and can't figure out why they can't get their head above water.
