Has anyone tried any tobacco alternatives and what the effectiveness was?

I’m thinking about trying black Buffalo. I’ve been trying to quit for about 9 months now and I think the farthest I’ve made it is 10 days without a can. Hoping this will help but don’t want to waste money on something that doesn’t work

I switched to Zyn to get off Grizzly, and it’s helped me for 4 years, but it’s more expensive and every time I get a whiff of someone opening up a can, I have to walk away so I don’t get the urge

Zyn worked for me. I still buy a can of grizzly occasionally but I've gotten to the point where I just prefer zyn.

Have a can of grizzly straight sitting on the counter. Been there for weeks, I'll throw one in if I go cut the grass or go fish in the pond, otherwise it stays on the counter.

I've tried the baccoff products, and they work to an extent. I've even tried Zyn, I know it still has nicotine, so not really a helpful quitting product. Neither has worked for me completely. I have gotten to where I won't dip in front of the wife (no pics, and yes, I know, Trashy) so that has cut down a little bit. I just think like anything else I've done, I'll quit when I quit.

Nicotine gum helped me quit dipping a few years ago and I have been pretty good since. I get the cravings all the time though.

I’ve tried Smokey Mtn in the past, but never heard of this. Only thing I didn’t like was Smokey Mtn stuff was too moist. Be curious to know if this is more authentic texture.

ON! I started with 8mg, down to 4 then 2. I’m on 2 so still not officially quit but they are 3 for $9, actually cheaper than my longhorn straight. It’s working so far. Dipped for 25+ years FYI

Used to dip a can a day. Switched over to Juul and completely kicked it. Weaned off the Juul and been tobacco-free for a few years now. I still feel some type of way about the government banning Juuls but allowing all these bullshite vapes to stay on the market. Really makes you wonder why the government would ban an effective smoking cessation tool while allowing these non-regulated, addictive products from China/India to flood the market.

I buy my Zyn from this website. Usually buy a month's supply. It's like $4 or less per can.

I tried kicking the habit a few times and couldn't put down the can. Finally changed to Zyn and now I have not desire for real dip. I do like the smell, and I've tried dip a few times but spit it out almost immediately.

End of the day, you’re gonna have to break the addiction. I was a smoker, not a dipper, but you’ve got to be 100% committed to quitting and then power through the withdrawal. Any sub isn’t going to fully break your addiction because it’ll create the same mental sensations even if the chemical part of it is being addressed.

Tried Zyn, its ok. Using Camel Snus now. It does the trick but it is still tobacco.

Smokey Mountain is not bad. Their pouches suck, but the long cut is good.

I also like Grinds pouches. Nothing gonna help with any nicotine withdrawals, but they help you to satiate the oral fixation side of things.

switching real tobacco with concentrated nicotine pouches isnt better for you.

If you want to quit completely you can use something like Zyn and keep lowering the nicotine mgs until you ween yourself off. It's easier than going cold turkey, and will help with the withdrawals, but nicotine is as addictive as heroin. You will always want it. The cravings will get less intense but they never really go away.

I havent had a cigarette in 10 years, used to smoke a pack a day, and my entire body will still shake when I've had a drink or two and smell that intoxicating aroma of tobacco. Every morning i wake up and have to consciously deny myself a dip. I miss it everyday.

If you need a dip every once in a while try General swedish Snus. They sell it at most cigar shops. I like the white and the mint. It's processed differently and with less additives than american tobacco and is better for your mouth and throat, though it still has all the tobacco sideffect possibilities.

General White is much better than Camel if you haven’t tried it

Ya know how ya stop? Don’t buy anymore. It’s not that tough. Have a little self control. It’s mostly mental.

If it was only that easy. This strategy may work for some people after maybe a dozen or so times.

I know you hear of folks quitting cold turkey every so often, but it’s very very hard.
