Has anyone seen someone driving around BR with a chimp riding shotgun?

Around the LSU campus? My son and I went out to the campus today, hes in hs and wanted to walk around. So, going down Highland about to take a left on Dalrymple...car to the right of us, the driver has drumsticks tapping the dashboard. All of a sudden my sons says "holy crap that guy has a chimp in the car!" I'm like ok, glance into the car and sure as shite, a chimp is chilling, sitting in the passenger seat enjoying the ride. Light turns we gotta go.
So my deal is, was that shite real or is there some chimp robot available out there and this dude was loving April Fools Day waaay too much?

No I saw this guy a while back. Driver was air drumming out of his window. I drove up to him to see wtf was wrong with him and saw a chimp in the passenger seat.

A few weeks ago my wife and I were walking the lakes and they passed by. Remembering that lady who's pet chimp ripped her face off, my wife commented that it probably isn't a good idea. A dog barking at it or minor accident could set it off in a panic big time.
