Food can be surprisingly good given its reputation as not great at all. Lots of solid eateries popping up and some great hole in the wall Mexican and Asian fare.
The food truck scene is pretty strong as well.

Flying there in the morning. Have family in Park City and will be on the slopes most of Friday, Sunday and Monday. Nothing wrong with the area. It's different but has great charms. Since in-laws likely to leave my wife about 300 acres of land in the Midway area, we'll likely end up retiring there and developing much of it. The Provo River runs right behind their house. Some of the best trout fishing in America.

Haven't lived there but have visited several times. Pretty sure I could live there and be happy about it.

It reads cold, but it rarely feels THAT cold, or as cold as you think it should be.
SLC weather isn't that bad....and I really dislike the snow and the cold.

Yes. If you like to ski then you want to live in SLC. Always something to do.

I just wanted to jump in and say that Google Maps with 3d and Earth is one of the coolest free technologies at our disposal. I suggest you get familiar with how to 'fly around' SLC with Google Maps with 3d and earth turned on.

This is BS. 13 degrees is cold no matter what the dew point and humidity level is.

This sounds like a crazy statement but it is spot on. I lost a huge piece of business solely because the buyer I was dealing with was Morman and the competitor was Morman owned and this was in Louisiana.

They have a true 4 seasons there. If you really like outdoor and winter sports, it's a great town. They have pretty much anything you could want.
Wouldn't want to go if I was single and didn't know anyone. Better hit the churches if you want to meet a girl.

My mom and niece both live here. I'm here visiting now and it's so much snow on the ground and very cold. Nice people though and beautiful country.

I call bullshite on this. We ate out the whole time we were there and we left surprised by the food. Log Haven was an excellent white table cloth experience. Food was exceptional and the atmosphere was outstanding. Red Iguana is a fascinating Mexican place especially for someone from Alabama like me. There's a reason why it always has an hour wait. Provisions is another place we ate dinner. It was as good as any place we ate in New Orleans.
They had some weird beer laws that's for sure, but they are getting better. I want to go back and see what the tailgating looks like for Utes games. We went to a sports bar for the Auburn/Georgia game. The place wasn't packed, but they had a good crowd especially for the Nebraska game. They had a group that met every Saturday to watch the game.
The city had plenty of public transport options. It was also the cleanest city of that size I've ever been in.
