He just needs to make West World.
We don't want battery powered cars.
We don't want hyper loops.
We don't rockets.
We don't cities on Mars.
We don't want submarines.
We don't want candy.
We don't solar panels
We just want fricking West World.

I haven't seen it
I don't really spend much time watching TV or on the internet on the weekends

Disagree. The solar panels have great potential to change residential roofing construction all together. If I were building a house right now, their panels would be an absolute must.
I also think the hyperloop or some form of high speed transportation besides a plane is needed in the US.

Agree 100%. He is an incredible innovator, not an incredible businessman

a year ago most threads talked about him as more of a genius than Steve jobs
Every thread is 50/50 with hate and support for Musk.
quote:Oh, and a year ago anyone who said they liked Musk was definitely not ridiculed at all on this board.
and anyone who disagreed was ridiculed and subjected to waterboarding via a post word tsunami defending everything he has done.

I haven't seen it
If you don't follow him around religiously like CAD does, you're more than likely to not have seen that story.

I like Musk and think he's brilliant. I don't think he's perfect but I appreciate hearing what he has to say.
I don't get why people hate on him for taking advantage of the government being stupid enough to subsidize his businesses though.
It's a good business decision. Take the free money. Anyone would.
I don't see him as a "fraud" because of it.

They both handled it poorly. The Brit went at Musk for no real reason seemingly, and then Musk fired quite the unnecessary haymaker.

Same thing, but slight nuance that's relevant.

Called one of the main British divers a pedophile because the Brit said F no to his rescue tube. FWIW, the Brit should've had a bit more tact when shooting down the option.
The Brit wouldn’t have needed tact if Musk wasn’t such an ego maniac that he had to steal some spotlight from the rescuers bc someone rando on twitter tried to call him out for not helping, then after the fact wanted to pretend he was a big part of the rescue

Yeah, I know.
I know it's not JUST his businesses. It's the industries that he's chosen to do business in.

He's a leach who's stolen $4B from taxpayers with almost nothing to show for it. He's a corporate welfare king
