Yeah, you'll never pick up women in a bar wearing a silicone band.

So the symbol of lifelong commitment that you carry is rubber??
I also plan to get a metal ring for the wedding but never wear it again after that.

I know I joke around a good bit but I'm being serious. I have the dark green one that has a compass on it.

I usually only wear mine in social settings.

i'd rather just call you a pussy...
take it off if you are doing something where wearing it is inconvenient. put it back on after. it's not rocket surgery.

not really
I don't wear my real wedding band. I have a cheap $50 band that I wear daily.
I'm too afraid of losing the band my wife bought me.

The fricking tattoo wouldn't come off genius.. And if you worked in a plant , offshore or a job in which you could lose said finger it makes sense. I know plenty of guys that have done it for that very fact.
I mean to each his own..

I workout with my gold wedding band and never even notice it's there

I only wear mine when I'm going out drinking with the guys.

My wife and I each have the "outdoor" version.
I found myself often not wearing a ring due to working out, fishing, etc.
I rarely wear my "real" band now.
