Same shite happened to me. 'Over-braking' or something like that. If you regularly drive in a city, stay far away.

How and why did Jake from State Farm change from a white guy to a black guy?

I googled this a while back. The original commercial they basically just grabbed a guy off the street and he only had 2 words of dialogue. When the "character" became popular and they wanted to do more spots they got an actual actor that had a tv background.

He's buying a $1,000,000 combined limit, which is only $200 per car per month, which is an awesome deal, especially when a lot of broke MFers pay over $100 per month for 5-10% of those limits.

Yep. $100 deductible on collision and comprehensive. Can’t complain.

When it drops even further with 30% it’ll be ballin.

I did it with SafeCo. It was just an app you put on your phone and it was only for 90 days. It was kind of a pain because you’d have to go in every once in a while and confirm your trips manually. The benefit of that was if you had to hit your brakes harder than normal you would just confirm that trip as being a “passenger” and it wouldn’t count against you.

Pro tip. Install the app on a device you will not be using for surfing on TD while driving.

I tried it once, but I got knocked for using my phone too much while driving.

If it’s anything like Liberty Mutual’s program, it tracks the wrong stats to report your safety as a driver.

I did the Liberty Mutual program, and it dinged me every time I accelerated or braked hard. Well, driving around New Orleans, braking hard means you’re paying attention when idiots cut you off or run a light in front of you. But you get penalized for it.

I'm doing the progressive plug in now and I swear it's getting harder to stop without setting it off.

Sent them back to my agent unopened in the box and told him I’d rather pay the $10 a month per car once I read the fine print of what information that app was collecting.

I had the Progressive monitor installed. It would go off when I backed out of my driveway. Rates would go up every 6 months lie clockwork. Ditched the monitor and Progressive

Progressive employs 4 actors full time now in their shitty commercials. Have to pay for that somehow.

And State Farm has to pay Jake, Aaron and Mahomes.

Here is what the app collects and how it's used

My favorite part is I get to prove to my wife she's a terrible driver, my 15 year old is better than she is and I'm way better.

If I had one of these installed my car my carrier would drop me immediately and issue a notice to all auto insurers in the metropolitan area not to cover me.

Yet I still get around just fine with very few issues.

frick those trackers.
