I been driving like a maw maw for two months. My wife and I two week score is consistent 97-98% with few events.

What kind of discount am I looking at? 6 months right now is about $2400 for two cars at full coverage 1M/1M/1M and 1M Med Pay.

Im told you can see 30% savings. What’s the average score of this thing? And no, I don’t care if my insurance company sees I work from home everyday or go to the grocery store.

My assumption is they are planning to use the data collected to screw you at some key juncture in some unforeseen way. So I have always been incredibly wary of this.

That is really just a trick to give them ammo not to cover you or to raise your rate if you have a wreck. They will pick that data apart looking for any reason they can find.

I thought about this but there is nothing in the declaration or T/Cs that precludes them from covering me under the car assuming I’m not drunk and a licensed driver. Nothing about data. Not saying they can’t use it for diabolical reasons, but I think it’s more to categorize or smooth risk.

Yeah, I don't know for certain, but I've wondered if there is a more nefarious reason they are pushing it. I put nothing past insurance companies.

How and why did Jake from State Farm change from a white guy to a black guy?

I did the Progressive version, and it actually caused my rates to go up a bit. Apparently, they expect you to drive without ever using your brakes.

The only reason I agreed was because we are in LC and I work from home. 4-5 days a week the truck sits there. Seemed like free money.

If I was back in DC or BR, there is no way I agree to this. It would be terrible in the city.

We have two brand new vehicles with maximum coverage they’ll write us. It isn’t bad since we have two drivers in LA.

So you essentially saved $.50 per day to let them track you?

was it worth it?

Well the initial discount is a flat 5% and your rates will never go up based on the data supposedly. It can only help you with SF.

I had one back in the day for Progressive, and the third time someone pulled out in front of me in a single day and I heard that beeping noise I took it out and threw it in the woods. It cost me 50 bucks ha.

I am assuming they are using the location data to sell to advertisers. They know where and how long you shop at places etc...

He's buying a $1,000,000 combined limit, which is only $200 per car per month, which is an awesome deal, especially when a lot of broke MFers pay over $100 per month for 5-10% of those limits.

you should be close to 30%. I get about 30% with a 94-95% rating.

I just wish you could do it once and be done instead of having to keep it tracking forever.
