What is third degree rape?

Hell, what are any of the degrees of rape? Seems like rape should be one thing and other things should be...not rape?

If you are convicted of rape in the third degree, the maximum prison sentence the judge can give you is 4 years. If you are a first time offender the judge may give you a significantly lighter sentence depending on the facts of the case and your personal background. If your sentence includes probation, the mandatory probation term is 10 years since rape in the third degree is both a felony and a sex crime. You will also be required to register as a sex offender under the New York Sex Offender Registration Act (SORA).

If anyone is interested in just how Weinstein operated, I'd recommend reading Ronin Farrow's book Catch & Kill. He chronicles the stories of a few of the female accusers, along with the lengths he went to keep the stories from coming out.

Farrow might've done a good job with this, but he's a smarmy douche with one of the most punchable voice/face combos I can think of.

I will never give that dude a single dollar and no one else should either.

Seems like that should be a whole different category. And should come with the sentence of being raped by a chainsaw

I think third degree rape is sticking your thumb in a girl's a-hole without at least a warning first.

Some may want him to walk, but Hillary has gotten eviscerated by a lot of liberals for her reluctance to distance herself from him. He did a lot of fundraising for her over the years.

The "libs" you talk about definitely don't want him to walk.

He's being painted as the super rich, misogynistic, evil man in Hollywood by all of his own peers. They all talk shite about him at awards shows and shite.

They have distanced themselves and group him in with Donald Trump now. His history as a liberal is being erased from the record books.

In 10 years, they'll be teaching kids that Weinstein was a conservative Hollywood oligarch that the progressives teamed up to defeat.

This is a perfect example of our justice system these days. Charge someone with a million different things so the jury feels like they have to do something since he's a bad man with so many charges. Then the defendant gets acquitted on most charges but is guilty on a couple of smaller ones and the DA gets their win.

He's 67 and in shite health from a lifetime of over-eating and drinking.

I wonder how many years this dude survives in jail. I'm thinking he won't make it 5.

I’ve read his conviction comes with a min sentence of 5 years and a max sentence of 25.

I doubt any judge wanting to have a chance at reelection gives him closer to the min than max
