What amount of rain am I looking at tomorrow here in the MS delta? I live just north of the humphreys/sunflower county line which if you look on that rainfall map where ms/ar/la lines all meet you go east 2 counties over and up one county.

Rumors of the Addicks reservoir breaking.... Heard it tonight by someone who was out on a boat rescue.. now watching the news and heard it mentioned. Fuuuuuuuk if true.

I'm hoping it's just a BS rumor

99% of dam breaking stories in the US are false.

You do understand that rescuers becoming the rescued is a very bad thing right?

The current has to be wild in that water. Sounds like a good idea to go out into that at night with rapidly rising waters. Authorities made the right call having them wait for daylight.

Can someone give me an update on Nottingham Estates? I'm trying to get in touch with my brother but have not heard from him since last night and I know they lost power yesterday evening. I would appreciate it if someone had any add'l info as of this morning.

I saw that post about the forensics deal but didnt know what it meant.

I just dont want to be like ashley in accounts payable running around the office showing everyone pics of sharks on I-10 and shite

I saw the picture on a Texas state rep's twitter feed, and it linked to a guy supposedly took the original. The waves are intense, but the water height is believable. I can't seem to find the original anymore, of course.

Not long. Everything is keeping west. May get a few downpours but should not be anything like what is going on in Beaumont.

Good morning folks.

This is a long shot but any real news on the kingwood area at the w. Lake Houston bridge? Some facebook reporters are saying it's over the 2nd floor at the apartments. No bueno for me.

Really? The current path has the storm center going right over me if it follows the center of the potential path. Seems if I end up just north and then west of the eye I could see significant rain unless it peters out?

The forward motion, distance from the gulf, and transition to a post tropical low ought to keep the rain totals manageable for you.

What rain? Looks like LC is going to escape with minimal effects. South of there had some pretty heavy rains yesterday though.

MWP has a thread on the Outdoor Board. He had 4' of water in his Kingwood home when he bailed out yesterday. You might try posting in his thread to see where he lives, relative to the area you're worried about.

Thanks. Fairly crazy for it to get up to my apartment so I am not too worried.
