Ya I just read 5 pages where no one was talking about...
if it moves east over night we could wake up with this little storm headed straight towards Lafayette/BR

Is it moving more east than anticipated or are we still on track?
Not really, at least as far as I can tell. Most had an eastward component for 6-12 hours before it started to move more NE.

Spaghetti models still have it somewhere south of Jennings:

It doesnt matter where the center of circulation is
Only thing to follow is that pocket of heavy stuff currently sitting over Orange

Why not just post it on here? It's not a dick measuring contest to see who floods more..
This thread moves quick with all the info. A lot of folks are currently still working and in normal operations but have inclement weather coming and want to be able to check in and see what's happening without wading through 4-10 pages. Not to be insensitive but to streamline information.
didn't mean to make it sound like we need a competing thread. Just one that's specific to current issues in state.
If we were measuring dicks here, we'd use your gag reflex as a judge

I'd really like to avoid 40MPH+ winds in BR

The other forum is talking about convection firing near Sabine Pass ... so can YOU explain what that means? I see your comment about models showing it around Jennings but does this look like it's still going east? Or turning north? Or anything? lol I don't like surprises. Thanks in advance. (You should quit your day job)
Oh and is the nasty part still the northwest side?? Cause I'm on the southeast side and it'd be great if it's not on my side. lol
(OH and don't you post on stormcastforums???)

Just storms firing north of the center. Been happening most of the day, and Harvey has usually fired some intense stuff at night. Nothing out of the normal, and rds mentioned that as it transitions out of here, the convention and rain will probably move to the north and NW side of the circulation.
The exact location is tough to pin down, but the models are in pretty tight agreement about a landfall west of Lafayette.

That's good news. Have the said anything about Barker?

I'd start one but I won't be able to keep the OP updated with models and such.
