Clyde and the other team members and teams are all safe. Looters decided to pose as people needing rescue and they attempted to overtake the boats and there were shots fired at the boats. I repeat they are all safe. Looters must have not wanted our boats in the water for rescues. Please feel free to share this post. We are currently on stand down pending a new strategic plan.

People like to talk about how neighbors help neighbors, Texas strong, etc. and that is true. Then the Guard gets into action. Then we add in the Cajun Navy and La. WildLife and Fisheries. Now Ala. and Fla. joins the effort.

My thought is the upper levels cooling provide the a greater temperature gradient and boost potential for the air to rise into.
Also, watching this I've seen rain develop lightly in the gulf and ramp up as it interacts with the coast. Would this be due to frictional interactions creating a boundary layer that the moist air stacks on top of as it flows onto shore. So it's forced up without the need to add heat at the bottom?
Just some ideas I've been mulling around and would like a pro to add what I might be missing.
