That is the parallel HRRR. It shows different totals than the HRRR for the same period.
Thanks for the clarification.

The 18z 3k NAM is also doing a decent job with the current setup. It it's showing 25-30"+ for the Houston area...
What's worse, the solution makes sense from what I've observing.

this is insanity... remember all those apocalyptic rainfall models? It's going to be worse
Is this serious??

The latest rainfall estimates for SELA seems to have improved a bit since this morning. Still no mercy for Texas and SWLA.

Thanks for asking, last I heard they were safe. Not a lot of additional details since I've got so many balls in the air at work today with Harvey.

Omg listening to the Cajun navy dispatch and there's a nursing home of around 15 patients getting flooded and must have oxygen. This is sooooo sad.

Take it for what it is but I just witnessed a convoy of game wardens from Florida I think. They were West bound on I-10 around Pascagoula. Looks like armed and trained reinforcements are inbound. More trucks pulling boats that I could count. All government trucks and boats.

I passed a convoy of FWC trucks pulling boats Saturday on I-10 in Alabama, I counted 20+ boats and another 20+ vehicles not pulling boats.

He's talking about the widespread totals altogether. His comment isn't about the totals in SELA being worse than the NWS is saying.

I value his opinion but this just threw me off..

Also record rainfall set at Hobby airport, with 5.45" so far today, as of 4pm. Old record was 1.51" in 1945 #houwx #glswx #bcswx #txwx

This makes no sense.

He's saying all of those ridiculous graphics with 50"+ may have actually underestimated the rainfall in Houston.

My bad, it's actually experiential and not parallel. So it's on ESRL and not the Eval page.

Posted on 8/28/17 at 5:02 pm to slackster
Sup?
I just heard that on the news too. I'd imagine that Sunday set the record but the hell do I know?
