I live just off El Dorado now, close to 45. Today was a good break for my street. Getting a good rain now, but I'm not thinking I'll be up at 5 in the morning watching the water come up like I was yesterday, err this morning.

Khou just showed the rainfall rates at 4 - 4.8 inches per hour with the band around downtown right now. Couple of friends are dry so far inside the loop but this is just unreal.

Yeah the calls coming in are very depressing. Someone shot, elderly man lacking oxygen in jeopardy of being electrocuted, numerous kids and other folks needing rescued. Fuuuck man

Yea. Download Zello. There are two channels for the Cajun navy. It's the real time feeds between people going to help and people calling for help.

If I do that I'll be a basket case. I'm sad enough reading about it. God bless those in need.

I don't doubt that people will feel hopeless and abandoned. If people feel in dire straits, there definitely will be some issues.

There was a call earlier in Dickenson a family trapped chest deep in their vehicle with a nursing baby.

At least he had an OB set to face time with if needed. I'd prefer a hospital but at least it's a plan.

Don't think so. They said this woman alone is in a flood zone and will need boat rescue.
