Thought I'd get out ahead of mass hysteria and pick up all the dry goods I could before this afternoon. It's already taking place at the Woodlands HEB. No more gallons of water. Bottled water supply is almost gone.

20-30 inches in Katy.

Is now a good time to start discussing how the Dams at Barker and Addicks aren't exactly in the greatest shape?

Constant southerly winds will back up rivers and bays

People keep saying don't worry about the wind. Yeah, there won't be wind damage, but the wind sitting at 30MPH from the south for three days will absolutely back the heck out of a ton of the creeks and bayous.

We have an old share croppers house currently used as a hunting camp. Its a pain in the arse to maintain and expensive. Big dead pine next to it that my mother in law wants removed at my expense.

Maybe the winds will be enough to kill 2 birds with one stone

You're right, the wind is a significant concern for the drainage of the bayous and creeks into the gulf. That much rain on top of wind backing it up is terrible.
