Bring that stupid shite up elsewhere. There's no reason whatsoever to bring politics into this thread. None.

Witnessing some history. Stay safe and good luck folks.

Are most models in agreement that Thursday is moving day for ole Harv?
It's hard to say, when a system gets trapped like this the motion can be erratic and small changes in short term track can have big impacts down the road. The models show Harvey still between Houston and Corpus on Wednesday morning and the move it slowly somewhere after that.

The amount of rain is just remarkable. The rainfall totals estimated by radar are just tremendous, with a lot more left to come.

I'm located just to the left of the 22.7 projection. The river right there to the west is what we're watching. Last May it reached 54.7 ft (a record) and flooded out neighborgood around us. Current forcast is 55ft crest sometime late Monday/ early Tuesday.

I am letting my kids sleep. I moved everything out of their room that made sense. They are going to wake up in an empty room with an inch of water surrounding them.

This. We are already seeing rainfall totals and water levels reaching all time records in many areas. What is hard to wrap the mind around is that many of these past events were some what isolated but this is so widespread. This may be Katrina like flooding in scope...

Just heard the guy say they will probably have waist high water in studios soon. They are on the downslope and in the flood plain of buffalo bayou.

I'm watching the KHOU feed on FB. Is that not live anymore?
Also, there's nothing more infuriating to me than people out driving in this. People are so fricking stupid and selfish.

She's getting all dramatic over an inch of water?
Inch of water can do quite a bit of damage, especially since there could be more. Plus, she may be demanding a house in a less flood prone place, such as on a mountain.

This is absolutely insane... 15" of rain in the heights over the past 24hrs
