I think that is going to be tough, but will have to see how this thing fills in once it stalls.

Lots of emptiness between the outside band hitting the Houston area and the core circulation.

They key is if the bayous have time to drain enough while there is a reprieve.

Houston is built to handle any type of flooding. As soon as it stops raining the water will just disappear. Ask George and Stout. They'll tell you.

Agree... The reservoirs in west Houston are beginning to fill quickly. But as far as rain flooding surface streets in central Houston, I'm skeptical until this thing fills out. Would need to be a perfect stop for those feeder bands to just train over Houston.

I think Allison was around that amount. The shot of 59 25ft under water is one of the most epic pictures of flooding I've ever seen.

Anyone watching the Weather mix on DIRECTV? Channel 361-2. San Antonio is on now. Just had Houston. Looks like their rotating through the different affected Texas stations
