what is wrong with prayer and Matt Drudge posting on his twitter account? (Something he rarely does) I realize this thread is for all who think they are weather experts but a little prayer can't help forgodsakes.

If you wanted people to pray, you could have just posted that yourself, instead of linking Matt Drudge praying.

You've posted images from USA Today and The Drudge Report.

I'm not sure you could find two more irrelevant sources of information with respect to hurricanes if you tried.

It does but movements at the very end of a loop can be deceiving.

Any chance this makes landfall, weakens, gets pushed back into the gulf, and reforms?

Yes, there is a decent chance this happens.

We won't know for another day or two.

The NHC official track barely takes this back over water, if it does at all and then takes it more NE and up through Houston. Hate it for them but it certainly is better than it getting back out further into the water and heading more to SWLA. It is going to rain like crazy on someone no matter what but at least it shouldn't have much of a chance to strengthen IF they are right. My worry is they are going a little to the left based on some models like the GFS and UKMET. If the Euro and Nam are the ones who are right then it will get further back over water and the 2nd landfall will be more painful, wherever it is.

I hate that it is stuck just one MPH under Major Hurricane status.

Has anyone consulted the weather gurus from the poli board yet?

I have yet to confirm whether this hurricane would be considered a 'cuck' or not.

It's not jogging north. That's just the eye appearing and it looks like it jumps north.

Looooooove coming here to get updated on something that I know minimal about by people that know what they are talking about ("expert" or not- I appreciate it) and having to weed through stupid bickering. Give me a fricking break. Sheesh

This isnt sarcastic - but to ease your mind - more than likely this will be the 10th worst rain event we've had this summer. THe rain will be spread out and it shouldnt be an issue.

Hurricane Matthew was a cuck. Harvey isn't.

It did move more north based on the last recon fix I saw.

Erractic movement is expected. It's like a massive top spinning away out there. Itll wobble north, it'll wobble west but generally keep it's heading.

Same exact neck of the woods. We lose power if a bird farts too hard so I am expecting no power for a while. However we are inside a levy system that held during all the flooding here last year.
