Can people start posting livestreams as they find them?

Chasers are starting to get set up.

I had posted a couple from Port Aransas earlier if you look through my post history. I'm on mobile right now, waiting for my new laptop charger to come in today, or else I'd look for it.

I'll look for it. Thanks.

It would be great if we can get some links pinned to the first page.

I wonder if this little stall means it's going to take a slight jog to the north soon. it'll be interesting to see how long this pause lasts with the current track.

Also one of our mets is headed to corpus to live stream the storm on our Facebook page. I'll post the link when he gets set up.

starting to take on a more classic structure. The structure hasn't caught up to the intensity through this point... but it may get there soon.
Yeah it has really grown the convection in the NW quadrant near the eye, which was its weakness.

We might have a major hurricane that is strengthening at landfall. That's a concerning proposition.

IF the power goes out past a couple days here (Woodlands), we are hitting the fricking road. Likely BR

I'm not excited for this storm to hit anyone, but I am excited to see the battle between the two ridges.

Any idea of how long things may be screwed up in Houston? I will be traveling to Arizona, and was planning to stop in Houston for the night next Sunday,

Probably should make other plans. At best you'll probably have difficulty getting hotel rooms due to evacuees from further south. Even if you have reservations, in disaster events like this, the evacuees are given preference.

the only relief is that the storm surge is usually the last domino to fall when a hurricane is strengthening.. so the surge may be below normal for a hurricane of its intensity

Can someone give me a quick update on the generalized model predictions as of this morning? Last I read was most models were predicting it not getting back offshore much and then making a quick second landfall in Texas again.

If specs is getting deliveries like normal, they should be fine. They have an automated order system based on register rings.

Ah the irony. Everyone wants to leave BR for economic opportunities, but in times of disasters they come right back home
