Houston isn't a bowl like NOLA.
Yeah get back to me on that when they get 16-22" of rain in 3 days Time. I'm talking flood damage, not flood waters subsiding

If there is road access to NRG, they will play it.

That's the great thing about Houston. Every road is basically a big fricking circle. There's actually more than 1 in way in/out of places.

Play the game at Kyle. We won't be there. College Station isn't supposed to get as much rain.
If I was Alleva I'd be on the phone right now

Houston has flooded badly before just last year and there was not much damage and it subsided quickly. I know because I was there with my dad at MD Anderson right down from NRG.

This is not the same as that for a lot of reasons. I bet the game gets played if the rain clears out by Wednesday and power isn't an issue.
Did he just assume none of us have lived through Hurricanes before?

From the Corpus Christi NWS office: If this doesn't convince people to GTFO, then I don't know if anything will.

- Extreme rainfall flooding may prompt numerous evacuations and
rescues.
- Rivers and tributaries may overwhelmingly overflow their banks
in many places with deep moving water. Small streams, creeks,
canals, and ditches may become raging rivers. Flood control
systems and barriers may become stressed.
- Flood waters can enter numerous structures within multiple
communities, some structures becoming uninhabitable or washed
away. Numerous places where flood waters may cover escape
routes.

Whoa you're such a risk taker.

I think a huge influx of missionaries would be beneficial after a storm. Those Mormons can build a barn in like a day.

I just want to take another opportunity to show how fricking stupid PJ is considering he said it wouldn't ever touch the mainland US

Not shite. If the rains stops mid week, a lot of the flooding has a chance to subside. Houston isn't a bowl like NOLA
This has nothing to do with New Orleans you fricking idiot.

That is eerily similar to the warning before Katrina hit
Posted on 8/24/17 at 8:23 pm to stout
Yea and it wasn't 25 inches either. We just don't know how the city will respond. I hope they can play it fwiw. Gonna bet LSU heavy

The biggest concern is South of Houston, byways, creeks, drain channels..once those go down to non flood levels, everything north follows behind this.
North of Houston had 8" in 24 hours and was fine in 1 day.

You were the one trying to use Katrina as a reason we should listen to you.

You were like 10 when Katrina hit? Yeah. Okay.
