The West movement seems to be holding. Brownsville is landfall if it holds.

Agreed. If this event is over by Wednesday of next week there is too much money at stake for it not to be played. And NRG will be packed too.

I think the game is a coin flip. The storm is expected to sit on Houston until at least Tuesday afternoon. How fast Houston gets back up and running is anyone's guess?

Nope, both empty. I think one of the lines has a leak and I haven't had time to look into it. Need to fix that before next weekend.

Houston has competent government.

Since this storm became so intense so quickly, how many people have made proper preparations for this event?
I feel this could be catastrophic to many lives.
No one has had time to board up, pack up, etc.

The "event" will probably be over, however it's the aftermath is going to be a complete shitshow with help, rescues and resources being spread thin along the entire Texas and Louisiana coastlines and inland.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday is enough time to pull back just a few resources for a game at NRG imo.

sylvester turner will definitely allocate resources to the right areas with the help of sheila jackson lee. I expect river oaks and west u will be the first area they send help to

You think NRG employees are going to show up for a football game three days after a potentially devastating hurricane, and you think the city of Houston wants 60,000 tourists in the city after a major hurricane?
I am suspect

If the loop de loop into a NE ball drag across LA theory holds up, this thing is only around Beaumont or Sabine Pass on Wednesday.

You're probably right. I've never gone through a major hurricane that's effected millions of people before. So what do I know.
