The one potential issue is a residual storm surge that inhibits the flow of primary outfalls to the south. Slow that down and you have slower than typical system drainage.

Nothing that would keep people from getting to NRG and nothing that would damage hotels. You don't know anything about Houston. Stop posting about it.

That's reminiscent of the K "certain death" advisory we all got in our LSU.edu emails 12 years ago

Houston can flood like a sunofabitch and then a day later the bayous drain it all away.

What happens when the bayous are also backed up due to onshore flow? The problem isn't just rain, it's the drainage backing up with the rain.

I was a senior in high school you nimrod.

And I lived through Katrina and have lived in the loop in Houston 3 mins from NRG.

Houston can handle storms. Massive storms. They do it all the time. Three to four days of recovery down there is a lot of time.

Again it's not about one particular place in general. I'm referring to lack of resources, road closures, flooding on interstates, collateral damage, etc.

Cmon Stout. Look at the long range EURO models, if that sticks its going to be a bad deal for a lot of people outside of Houston.

I know you're smarter than you're coming across right now.

Or we should all panic since you lived in New Orleans and, you know, that's the same.

I hope the EURO models are wrong. If it isn't, it fricks me and means I have to cancel/delay trips to Cali, Maui, and Mexico I was leaving for Saturday.

I just know Houston can handle a storm way better than most large cities. It's pretty impressive really.

I actually think the game will be moved to Tiger Stadium just out of precaution FWIW
