Since this storm became so intense so quickly, how many people have made proper preparations for this event?
I feel this could be catastrophic to many lives.
No one has had time to board up, pack up, etc.

From the time it was labelled a hurricane to the expected landfall will have been 48 hours. It's not ideal, but that is plenty of time to get people out.

How long will electricity be out, will traffic be paralyzed, can they restock stores fast enough and on and on and on?

There are so many uncertainties I think they would be better off having LSU ready to play a home game as a contingency.

I've never gone through a major hurricane that's effected millions of people before. So what do I know.

Shut up, dude.

This is not the same as that for a lot of reasons. I bet the game gets played if the rain clears out by Wednesday and power isn't an issue.

It's about flood damage not rain clearance

Not me, I actually believe BR is gonna miss most of this. LSU is going to start looking like a better option for this game on Tuesday.

The winds for Harvey are still pretty suspect. Extrapolated sea level pressure is 970mb, yet they can't find a surface wind any higher than 70kts.

Which go hand in hand.

If the rain clears, there's no flooding.

Not shite. If the rains stops mid week, a lot of the flooding has a chance to subside. Houston isn't a bowl like NOLA.
