How far east and how far up Harvey hits is gonna be critical for Houston. Right now they are saying it's hard to know.

Yea, not many lines on that look good for Houston, among many other places.

I know Chad, I live here too, but the wind damage was substantial. All those flooded NO houses also had blue tarps. Metry got wacked very hard by wind, as did Kenner.

Aside from debris cleanup, my kenner condo sustained literally zero damage. I don't think my dad's house in kenner had any damage neither. Not saying there wasn't wind damage in area but for a cat 4, that's a best case scenario.

NRG stadium just announced they still plan to roll with the Coldplay show tomorrow night. I'm sure that'll be easy logistically while the city preps for potential disaster over the next week. Geez.

IDK but we're in Vermilion Parish and I'm not liking those models at all ... like I wasn't "worried" before but "alert" and I think I'm moving to the "slightly ok very concerned" stage. Did my shopping today so we're good but nervous. We've evacuated for everything.. Lily, Rita, either Ike or Gustave.

Is surreal when the sheriffs deputy asks if you're evacuating and you say yes but they tell you that were you not you'd need to sign a list saying you recognize that you've been told to GTFO.

Houston better get ready. We all know that once they hit they shift east. Houston, LC even Lafayette needs to bunker down.

Not a weather person but the lower the mbs fall, the stronger the storm is in normal people talk.

I was flying out of Lake Charles Saturday evening to Los Angeles. My connecting flight is in Dallas. Don't think I am going to risk getting stuck in Dallas Saturday night and for God knows how long. About to reschedule for Tuesday I guess.

Even the most inland tracks don't have it affecting Dallas with weather by Saturday evening. Moving it up is a much better option than moving it to Tuesday.

no. i do know people who got some water in kenner and metairie that were in lower lying areas i'd safely assume.
