My grandfather’s family originally came from Maryland and settled on the Tennessee River close to what is now Guntersville sometime in the 1820s. My Grandmother’s family originally came from South Carolina and settled in Blount County around that same time.

He Reigns / Our God Is An Awesome God (He also rocks with a brass section that includes a baritone sax)

Ugh,,I loathe the worship music

When the singer says oh the Lord is inspiring me to sing another chorus
no he didn't if he was inspiring you to sing another course he would have told you before the service even started God knew how long this was going to take

and even he thinks it's taking too long

This one is the Gospel in a nutshell. Hard to beat the Irish at Easter.

A little late but since it’s Easter gonna say “He’s Alive” by Dolly Parton which seems very appropriate for today. loved the story told in song and the shock of what they found.

I haven't tried the embed feature yet, so I don't know or want to mess it up. But "Our God, He is Alive" is my favorite. We don't have a choir, we sing as a congregation.

GLORIOUS DAY
One day when Heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt among men, my example is He
Word became flesh and the light shined among us
His glory revealed

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day they led Him up Calvary's mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day, my Beloved One bringing
My Savior Jesus is mine

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
Glorious day
Oh glorious day
