Her birthday was Tuesday. I missed it. Sorry. But I know how much our baws who grew up in the 70's/early-mid 80's crushed on her and for good reason, she was a beautiful woman in her prime:

She was a hottie.. hard to escape ‘Brown Eyes Blue’ on AM radio when i was a little kid, it was played constantly.. Hard to believe she is the same age as Nick Saban.. Also for those unaware, her sister is /was an even more famous country singer named Loretta Lynn .

I was a little younger so didnt realize that Crystal Gayle was beautiful back then, i just rememeber her being famous for having long hair way down past her arse .. for me my first crush was Olivia Newton John, followed in very short order by Catherine Bach.. it was all downhill from there .

So true. She performed at NLU (ULM to many of you) back in '79 when she was very popular. I was struck how she seemed rather embarrassed on stage. She was strikingly pretty w/ piercing eyes. Sit back for a few minutes and enjoy this Crystal Gayle Greatest Hits Playlist
