I don't think people under 45 truly realize just how popular & famous Crystal Gayle was in the late 70's & early 80's.

She was a huge crossover success.

She was huge in the late 70's, so unless you're 48+ you probably haven't been exposed to her music.

I think the OT severely underestimates how gross a 72 year old pussy would be. Plus the wrinkled droopy musty old body it belongs to.

I had no idea they were sisters. I stay at Loretta Lynn's ranch for a week every summer, love it out there.

My mom loved her some Crystal and Anne Murray. Part of the soundtrack of my early years.

Anne Murray, the pride of Canada.. her song on the Urban Cowboy soundtrack was beautiful…. Honestly that period of country /crossover music (late 1970s/early 1980s) was the last era of country music that i cared for.. Kenny & Dolly, Eddie Rabbit , Ronnie Milsap et al.. Today’s country music is a bunch of 40 yr old guys singing about high school parties .. there were some decent songs in the interim by the Randy Travises and the Garths and the Dwight Yoakums and such, but still couldnt touch that earlier era IMO .

Yep, soft on the eyes. A beautiful woman with a great voice. Sad, all my favorite artist and heroes are either past their prime or have passed on.

But I take solice knowing David Allan Coe is still kicking. His song "The Ride" is raw country. When I'm down and I need a dose of 'Raw Country' I play that song. So many talented artist. Sad, country music ain't country music anymore - they've all gone Hollywood.

You never even called me by my name. Classic Country
