I have to know you. Lots of people I know on here.

I lived on Karen lane but know lots of "inside comments" on here.

Any hints to who you are?

Didn't Joe Delaney play for Northwestern?

we used to run in chennault all the time. Had no idea there used to be a water park there.

It was late 70s, early 80s. I remember skipping out on studying for finals for an afternoon to go with a bunch of folks.

Karen Lane huh? Are your initials DM? Guedeauxs' lived at the end of karen across from...Scott....Terrel?

Sherrif Charles Puckett (RIP) gets the nod as GOAT on Karen over you and Charles Gudeaux.

As I sit in the Lumen (CenturyTel/CenturyLink) HQ on 165 reading these, I've got to offer up a few more. BTW, St. Freds Class of 2000 here:

The Blue Monkey
Top Gun
Geno's Italian
Freddie Cascio's on Old Sterlington
Action Video
Deli Cream
Cypress Inn on the Bayou
The original Peking across from NLU
Walt's Restaurant
Bayou Bowl
Golf World on DeSiard (driving range, mini-golf, and a par 3 course)
The Metro Club
Town and Country Pharmacy
Toledo Tackle
The Creamery
Trio's

T&C

Town & Country was the Johnny's of choice for after sorority and frat meetings on Mondays. I think they had cheap pitchers of beer on Mondays, probably to get us to go there. Had friends who lived in the apartments. They were nice then.

The general food rotation was Johnny's on Mondays, Coenen cafeteria, PeGe's a few times a month, and Seale Lilly about once a month on a Sunday for ice cream. Throw in a few Taco Banditos, an occasional A & W, and about once a semester that Chinese place near Johnny's on Desiard and that was pretty much all I ate.

PeGe's was in Lakeshore when I went there in the 70s/80s. However, my mom and my uncle went to NLSC in the 60s. Ray's Grill was somewhere around where the Johnny's was. It blew me away that it was the same Ray, 20 years later.

After reading this thread, think I might stop at Nell’s, aka airport lounge, and get me a Long Island ice tea after work.

Oh and you mentioned Shane in ur other thread. He never really came up to the gym while I was there. Mike really didn't either but Mike was 5 years younger than me so maybe they did after I left but Mike did end up boxing in the Air Force. Shane is like the family class clown. Dude is a riot. He is about to get out of the Air Force himself after 20+ years in.

Yeah, Shane is hilarious. I'm glad hes doing good. Hell of a football player too. He was 2 years older than me. I spent some time with Mike and his wife Heather too. Good folks.

Sorry for the hijack but this thread has uncovered a lot of people that I am sure we all know. Not a huge town so I am sure that many of us know each other.

OPHS class of 01'. Also on 165 right down the road from you. Can't believe you threw out Action Video. That was the go to if you lived in Lakeshore/Swartz.

Mickee's penny pitcher night was always a good time.

That's the one I remember. I couldn't remember the name of it. I swear it looked about like the Chinese restaurant in A Christmas Story.

I'll walk down Elmwood for you heading towards my house..

Stites
Amoses
Bonts
Bedingfields
Underwoods
Glawes
Nicklases
Mitchells
Kolbs (before they moved around the block)
_____

That should put you very close.

Nice. I have cousins that are OPHS Classes of '01 and '04. My wife is Class of '04 also. We all knew the family that owned Action Video. Lol. Right next to "Old Randall's" as they affectionately call it.
