Who can think of days gone by and not think of being served LP&L and Reddy

We had it all, my friends. NIRVANA emceed by the GOATs on TV

Even Reagan came to visit.

Old enough to remember when West Monroe was proud of their school and mascot.

Old enough to remember riding to school in Ray Gambino's car with his daughters.

Old enough to remember when this was CenturyTel's INTERGALACTIC Corporate HQ

Old enough to remember getting cussed out by Dr. Talbot and my blood running cold when we pulled in to this parking lot. I knew pain was coming my way either through having my ears lanced or my fingers pricked.

Dr. Talbot didn't pamper crybabies.

Monroe lost this war.

Serious question:
Does West Monroe still claim the rebels as their mascot and students use the rebel flag? Used to be proudly paraded back in my day and that wasn’t that long ago. Early 2000s

RIP Airport Long Island Iced Teas

They came in 32oz cups. Drink one and you were feeling no pain. Drink two and you’d need help walking out.

I have never been to Monroe.

I was an adult before I ever went to Alexandria, Shreveport, or Natchitoches.

My family was all in aouth LA or out of state.

June Taylor retired from Good Morning Ark-La-Miss and Jack McCall ran off several co hosts until they brought her back. She was the only one who could put up with him.

Rebels is still the mascot, but the flag is banned.
