Handguns at point blank range Sat in Eugene, OR

I was watching this stream live Saturday night and it was intense.
There were BLM protestors and MAGA counter-protestors, then dude in a truck driving by was stopped. It was unclear if his truck was stopped specifically by protestors, if he was stopped with other cars by people in the road or if he stopped just to engage with protestors, the guy filming got there just as the confrontation started.
He opens his door and pulls a gun on protestors, who yell back at him and at one point he says "get the frick outta my goddamn road".
Here's the video with audio (yeah the description calls him racist for no reason but whatever):

So he then pulls up a little, stops and it gets really hairy when him and a protestor wind up pointing handguns at each other at very close range:
The audio doesn't add anything to the above gif because of too many people yelling.
It ended quickly with no shots fired but it could have been really bad.

I’d bet dollars to donuts that the perspective of that photo falsely makes it look like that shotgun is aimed at that woman when in reality it’s likely aimed at folks well downrange

It’s hard to see but it doesn’t appear the guy in black has the hammer back on that double action pistol. Also his grip makes me confirm that thought and that he is not a proficient user of that handgun.

Holy shite, my wife left for Eugene today & I leave on the 3rd. We will be armed. We will be there for 13 weeks on assignment & we took this gig bc it was 2hrs south of Portland and we haven’t really heard anything on Eugene.
Hopefully I’ll be among more MAGA folks.

You would want the hammer cocked on a SINGLE ACTION pistol in order to be able to fire.
Hammer down on a double action pistol still allows pistol to fire on a trigger pull. Trigger cocks and fires the pistol - two actions - hence Double Action.
Trigger only releases the cocked hammer - Single Action.
