Hammer down on a double action pistol still allows pistol to fire on a trigger pull. Trigger cocks and fires the pistol - two actions - hence Double Action.
Trigger only releases the cocked hammer - Single Action.
Yeah that was my typo from not having enough coffee. It appears to be a 1911 without the hammer back was my point

I know the guy on the left. He can mess up a cup of coffee, even when you just order large black, dark roast. I think I heard him tell the muffin girl that he is aboot to graduate in inter-pigmentation studies. I never heard him mention any higher maths.
