I get the feeling the majority of you guys are middle aged men. Middle aged men who would like to wear a pair of sneakers from time to time, but don’t have the time or inclination to pick out an actual good looking pair of sneakers for a good price. I bet when you go buy a new pair of sneakers, you come home with something like this:

Or this:

Let me help.

I love sneakers and am always on the prowl for good deals. Every so often I’d like to post a thread like this with a few recommendations.

Think of me as your shoe guy - the guy you can trust for good style and good prices. Let me do the work to impress your wife and friends with how stylish you are and amaze them at how little you paid for such nice sneakers.

Here’s what I have for you today:

EBay: Asics Gel-Diablo for $50 (usually $120)

EBay: Asics Gel Respector for $50 (usually $130)

EBay: Adidas I-5923 $65 (usually $130)

I honestly didn’t see Mingo’s thread. This isn’t a knockoff Pecker thread. I really do like shoes.

I honesty think I put a grand or two in Chickens pocket each year due to my content contribution. You’re welcome, Chicken.

You're like the guy that is convinced he can sing, but everyone else just wants him to shut the hell up and sit down.

Your style choices are kind of like that.

What if middle aged dudes think these shoes are cool but know they can’t pull them off. Or they don’t want to end up looking like a try-hard.

I hope someone creates a stereotypical shoe picture thread like the stereotypical car/driver thread last week.

My goal is to select shoes that the average middle aged guy can pull off without much effort, and not look like a try hard. No wild colors or styles, but something more than your typical off the rack “safe” find at the discount shoe store.
