I enjoyed listening to the dulcet tones of that sweet Tangee-paho accent.
"AHMS BUH HOND YA BACK!!!" It's entirely possible the suspect was from a normal place and couldn't understand what the officer was growling.

I'll allow this one.

He told him several times to put his arms behind his back.

I dont have facebook to watch the video so I have no opinion. Where did you work, in what capacity and for how long? Also, why did you leave?

Just curious

Where i worked has no baring as it was not with this department nor the officers in the video. 6 years, I explained the reason for leaving in a previous post.

Off topic but Tangipahoa parish prison is WAY more dangerous for inmates than OPP. Besides the homicide that occurred in the prison, 2 of my patients were detained there for a DUI and a outstanding traffic warrant from a different parish and got jumped and had their jaw and eye sockets fractured while the prison guards watched.

I had 20 yrs of service and was a supervisor for 10 yrs.

It looks bad and would that be acceptable behavior in the dept I worked for, No!

Does it go on daily in depts especially with high crime rates. Most likely.

I'm sure when the crap hit the fan you were the first one to be unavailable while the real Police handled the tough work.

I've met plenty of LEOs like you, lots of talk but scared to get your hands dirty.

Don't run from the police, and put your hands behind your back when he tells you to. It's not fricking hard.

You have no idea what kind of arrests I made during my career. If getting my hands dirty means dealing with LEO's who chase a subject into the woods at night, catch the suspect, and yell lights out then proceed to beat said suspect because he ran. You are right, I wasn't that cop and I condemn those that are.

I am fully in support of holding police officers accountable for their actions. An impartial observation is the suspect was laying down with his arms out before the officer entered the frame. When the LEO did the suspect went up on his right hip and was not resisting, but was not complying either. Not sure if that required multiple blows to the head with a closed fist, but the suspect was hardly passive/compliant.

It's not a race war you ignorant tard

The problem is that we pick our cops from the absolute bottom of the barrel. Smart? Competent? We'll choose the highschool dropout instead

I didn't see brass knuckles you stupid frick. It's amazing how smoothly an arrest can go if the fricking criminal would comply.
I have no sympathy for the OP or those who do not comply when the cops are involved.
I say, frick em. Shoot them, beat them.,,whatever it takes.

You really think this guy wasn't resisting arrest? Looks to me like they had alot of patience with this guy.

I suggest you watch the video and look at the first officers hands. Specifically the right hand. You will see him slip the cuffs around his hand and ball his fist up before striking the suspect again.

Also, I need no sympathy. This wasn't myself nor anyone I know.

And what you say isn't how it is or how it should be.

Chased plenty of suspects. Once again you have no idea what arrests I made during my career in law enforcement. If you are an LEO and side with this as acceptable practice I see you facing suspensions and law suits in your future.

Was he resisting? Sure. He was fleeing. However, you are taught several different tactics to utilize. SSGT, PPCT, manadnock, etc. You do not resort to closed fist tactics unless necessary. In no way can you articulate any reason in that video to resort to that.
