I read somewhere that the only two animals that are legally allowed to be “service animals” are dogs and pony’s.

ETA: found it

ADATA factsheet

quote:

Miniature Horses A public entity or private business must allow a person with a disability to bring a miniature horse on the premises as long as it has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of the individual with a disability. However, an organization can consider whether the facility can accommodate the miniature based on the horse’s type, size, and weight. The rules that apply to service dogs also apply to miniature horses.

If you are not emotionally stable enough to fly on a plane without a support animal, then you have no business flying.

Hopefully they ban everything that isn’t a 100% service animal. Nobody wants to sit in a seat after someone’s dog is dragging his nasty arse and dick all over the seat.

My flight last week had a crazy lady behind me with her pooch that she talked to through the entire flight. She walked the damn thing on a leash up and down the aisle 4 times. She asked the flight attendant to move the beverage cart so they could get passed. She was finally told to go sit in her seat which caused her to complain to the dog until the beverage service was completed.

I’m surprised this was allowed to get so far just bc of people with allergies. Everyone is allergic to everything nowadays.

90% of the times, the dogs people bring with them in public are quieter and better behaved than the children under 8. I’d rather deal with a dog on a flight than a crying baby.

Flew about a month ago; in the Atlanta airport I saw that the flight I was on had some weird looking blonde woman in a track/jogging suit with a dog. She checked in and asked the gate official where the smoking lounge was (something I didn't even know existed WITHIN terminals). So this nutjob walks over to the lounge with her extra-long Virginia Slim at the ready, taking her dog with her into what appeared to be a small smoke-filled room.

And of course when we got on the flight she somehow got the front row with the extra leg room, probably because of her support pooch (it was an open seating Southwest Air flight).

Frick people like that. Glad that crap will soon be history.

Technically, mini horses aren’t ponies. Mini horse people will come at you with pitchforks for that

But you are correct. And whenever I say that on here people think I’m crazy.

Yay for yearly fair housing classes

Can’t wait til changes come for us. To look at the numbers, pits must be the most emotionally supportive dogs on the planet.
