Thanks to my Wahl razor I haven’t paid for a haircut in 20+ years.
Same here. Plus, as I've gotten older, I simply don't care about the hassle of dealing with a head full of hair so I often just buzz it off with a #2 attachment every month or so.
Wash, dry, no need for a comb.

I was going to a barber just to support the small business of a nice guy, but he hired kids who can't even run a #2 over your head without inflicting pain. frick that. If I want to pay $25 to get annoyed, I'll go see a Kristen Stewart movie.

believe above $30 is a rip-off
Be thankful you aren't a female. Mine was $175 before tip for a cut and color a few weeks ago.

Yep. I and my son paid $80 after tip the other day at Just for Him.
So $30 + $10 tip each?
Go to 629 on Highland and Old Jefferson. The girls in there are top notch and own the place. I think my new Iberia fade is $23 + $10 tip. That's with a ear/eyebrow trim and a straight razor on the back of the neck and the typical wash/hot towel deal.
Just don't go tomorrow morning, I need to get in and out quickly.

I don't think I've paid for a haircut since college.

Haven't been in a barbershop since 1995.

She charges $30 for the wash/massage/cut. I give her $40 in cash - once a month whether I need it or not.

$30. $25 + $5 tip.
Once a week. I get a haircut/beard trim every Friday morning. I take care of myself.

She also keeps a gun by her side in the shop & has a sign by the front door advising customers of same. She also keeps a very visible wooden baseball bat handy.
Well, we’re waiting GIF
